Kwil Joins Chainlink BUILD To Accelerate Adoption of Decentralized Database

We’re excited to announce that Kwil is officially joining the Chainlink BUILD Program. The BUILD program will help us drive more projects to use Kwil, the permissionless relational database for the decentralized Internet, by connecting us with the Chainlink ecosystem and providing us with enhanced access to expert technical support. In return, Kwil will contribute a portion of our total token supply to the Chainlink Network.

The alignment of incentives between Kwil and Chainlink will encourage sustainable growth and adoption over the long term, which will benefit Kwil, the Chainlink ecosystem, and Web3 as a whole.

Building Out a Decentralized Internet

Kwil aims to provide the next generation of Web3 applications with the decentralized infrastructure needed to power data storage and retrieval, helping them seamlessly design, build, deploy, and maintain permissionless data infrastructure.

Chainlink data providers and smart contract developers can use Kwil to store large amounts of structured data off-chain, all without compromising on the decentralization guarantees core to Web3. For example, another Chainlink BUILD project, Truflation, will use Kwil to store, manage, and process its complex relational database systems, which underpin a variety of other Web3 applications. This enables Truflation to secure its large volume of multi-sourced economic data in a low-fee environment while only publishing the limited data required by smart contracts to the higher-fee blockchain environments. Ultimately this architecture supports Web3 apps that are highly scalable, cost-effective, and decentralized end to end.

Kwil’s familiar framework helps a wide variety of developers to leverage relational databases and social graphs. By supporting a variety of synchronization and storage methods, Web2 native developers can quickly begin building on Web3.
